iRest Yoga Nidra (Flex)

All Levels, No Yoga Experience Required

Yoga Nidra is a relaxing guided meditation through the senses, body, mind, and beyond. There is no Yoga movement required, and no yoga experience required, beyond any personal stretching you may want to do before you settle in for 45 minutes of pure relaxation.

Yoga Nidra soothes the central nervous system, relaxes the body in such a way as to release stored anxiety and stress and leaves one feeling with a sense of ease.

Please dress in comfortable clothing. You may choose to sit in a chair for the duration of this class, but it is most beneficial when laying on a mat with comfortable blankets and bolsters as support.

Tribal Fusion Belly Dance (Flex)

Class Level: 
No Dance Experience Required

This is a style of belly dance that originated in the early 2000’s, therefore making it a modernized style of belly dance. Tribal Fusion Belly Dance was created by fusing American Tribal Style (ATS) belly dance and American Cabaret belly dance. You will also see hip hop, flamenco and Indian fused in this dance form.
This style of belly dance was named and largely popularized by Rachel Brice, who was the first to fuse American Cabaret technique with American Tribal Style and the first to perform as a soloist. Some other popular performers are Zoe Jakes and Kami Liddle. Tribal Fusion Belly Dance is very sensual with its serpentine movements focusing on strength and flexibility.

We suggest comfortable workout clothes, such as yoga pants, tank tops, whatever you feel comfortable moving in. We recommend wearing a coin belt or hip scarf. Don’t worry if you don’t have one, we have plenty to share. We prefer barefeet for this class, but you can wear belly dance sandals or ballet slippers, just no outside shoes.

No belly dance experience needed. This is a beginner’s level class. Since we have 2 instructors on hand, we can offer personalized attention and modifications depending on your skill level.
